Dr. Caitlin Farmer attended Duke University to obtain her biomedical engineering undergraduate degree.

Following graduation, she worked as a mechanical engineer designing missile-launching tanks before deciding to pursue a different career path in medicine. Her medical degree was earned at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she remained for her internal medicine internship. Dr. Farmer was a recipient of the Eric Leung Scholarship and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Farmer's dermatology residency was completed in Detroit at Henry Ford Hospital where she had the opportunity to work with leaders in the fields of pigmentary skin disorders, phototherapy, follicular disorders and complex medical dermatology.

In her spare time, Dr. Caitlin Farmer enjoys watching movies and college sports, discovering new restaurants, and traveling with her husband. She recently became a new mother to a beautiful daughter, Ellie, and is excited to be exploring her new role as a physician-mom.
